Darren K. Lee, P.Geol.

Darren is a professional geologist and the founder of Perpetual Subsurface Consulting, with experience spanning conventional oil and gas, international resource development, and emerging geothermal applications. His work is focused on building a clear, integrated understanding of the subsurface to support confident decision-making in technically complex environments.

 

Over the course of his career, Darren has worked across the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin as well as projects in Central Asia, the United States, and Australia. This includes experience in deep, high-temperature rock systems, where successful execution depends on both technical rigor and a practical understanding of operating constraints.

 

Through Perpetual Subsurface, Darren supports projects across the full lifecycle—screening new opportunities, de-risking subsurface uncertainty, and advancing developments toward execution. His approach emphasizes integration, bringing together all available subsurface information into a single, coherent view that clarifies risk and supports real-world decisions.

 

Darren is known for his ability to bridge disciplines and translate complex subsurface challenges into clear, decision-focused outcomes. He works with operators, technical teams, and stakeholders seeking an independent perspective grounded in both technical depth and practical application.
